You can snap two markers together to measure the distance between the markers.
To snap a midpoint between markers:

In the view pane, select two markers by pressing CTRL while left-clicking each marker. A gray, projected marker is displayed at the midpoint between the two markers.

Left-click on the desired axis and move it towards the gray projected marker until it snaps into the midpoint.
