To troubleshoot issues with Vicon IR lights, complete the following steps in the order shown.
Important
Ensure all tests are undertaken by a qualified, trained engineer. Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times
Initial checks
- Check the indicator is green, showing that the unit is receiving power.
- Ensure equipment is suitably rated for the Vicon IR light.
Check illuminating (IR) LEDs
- Check the IR LEDs are working. (It is sometimes difficult to see infrared lights working in high brightness conditions).
Check status indicator LED
- Check the status indicator LED (located at the base of the Vicon IR light) to determine the status of the light. The status indicator LED turns green when power is supplied to the Vicon IR light.
Final checks
- Check that the Vicon IR light is aligned correctly.
- Check that the protective film has been removed.
Contact Vicon
