What's new in the Vicon DataStream SDK?
Vicon Datastream SDK 1.9 improves on the functionality of 1.8 in many areas. New features include several improvements, such as features to help to filter and reduce the data supplied to suit the available bandwidth, and IDs for unlabeled markers.
Updated plugins for Unity and Unreal engines, which incorporate some of these capabilities from the datastream, are also available.
Source code for the DataStream SDK is provided and is licensed under an MIT license agreement.

New features of Vicon DataStream SDK 1.9
This release includes the following new features.
Multi-route WiFi
Enables multiple Wi-Fi connections to be made to the server app, which helps to reduce jitter in frame arrival times, giving VR users a more immersive experience.
Wireless adapter configuration
Attempts to configure wireless adapters in the system to optimize the transmission of motion capture data.
This feature performs best under Windows.
Subject filtering
To reduce the bandwidth usage, sends only requested subjects’ data to the datastream.
Lightweight datastream
Reduces the size of the data transmitted. You have access to frame number, latency, and subject calls.
Compatible with Evoke 1.0.3 and later.
Subject scaling
Adds a function for retrieving subject segment scaling information so that subjects are rendered at the correct size, for example, in the Unreal and Unity plugins.
Compatible with Evoke 1.1.0 and later.
Trajectory ID for unlabeled markers
Provides IDs of unlabeled markers frame by frame in the datastream.
Support for Evoke CFC features
Support for data types used in Evoke 1.1 CFC features.
Addressed issues in Vicon DataStream SDK 1.9
This release fixes a number of issues including the following:
- Set buffer size for MATLAB.
- If two components have the same name, DSSDK repeats the first component values.
- Prefetch and ClientPull streaming modes
- MACOS distribution file missing
