Improvements in Vicon Shogun 1.11
For descriptions of the main improvements in this release of Shogun, see the following sections.
Shogun Live 1.11 improvements
Shogun Live 1.11 introduces updates to numerous areas of existing functionality, providing you with a greater level of control and flexibility.
Visualize missing markers (ObjectTracker)
The ability to visualize missing markers has been expanded to include objects (such as props) that are being tracked using ObjectTracker.
If a marker is completely hidden it turns red and glows.
To view missing markers, ensure that Missing Markers is enabled (3D View > View Filters > Data > Missing Markers).
Add data overlays to captured videos
You can now add timecode overlays to captured videos directly in Shogun Live. To do so, go to System Settings, and in the Video Cameras section click on the camera to use for capturing.
In the Properties section for the selected video camera, you can now enable a timecode overlay and configure its appearance on the captured video.
The following example shows how the timecode appears in the captured video.
Right-click to reboot a subject
With this release, you can now smoothly reboot individual subjects when labeling issues arise.
To reboot a subject:
- In the Tracking panel, right-click on the subject.
- Click Reboot Selected.
When streaming a character into Unreal, if you click Reboot Selected in Shogun, the character will remain visible with minimal frame skipping, which ensures a smooth result.
Support for Valkyrie cameras
In this release of Shogun Live, Valkyrie support has been expanded to include the VK8 so that Shogun 1.11 is compatible with:
- Valkyrie VK8, with a resolution of up to 8.0 megapixels (3712 x 2176) and full frame rate capture speed of 500 fps
- Valkyrie VK16, with a resolution of up to 16.1 megapixels (5120 x 3152) and full frame rate capture speed of 240 fps
- Valkyrie VK26, with a resolution of up to 26.2 megapixels (5120 x 5120) and full frame rate capture speed of 150 fps
