Introducing Vicon Vanguard in Vicon Markerless systems

A Vicon Markerless system consists of networked Vanguard IR motion capture cameras, which capture video in the infrared (IR) spectrum; Vicon IR lights, which provide the correct illumination; and other hardware devices such as Ethernet switches and Vicon Locks (for synchronization). The data is received and stored on a computer that hosts Vicon software, which supports a video stream for markerless tracking of subjects. The data can be used in real time and/or re-processed offline. This process eliminates the need for suiting up, attaching markers, performing a Range of Motion (ROM) capture, or heavy post-processing.

Markerless systems are flexible, expandable, and easy to integrate into your working environment. You can combine Vanguard motion capture cameras with other current Vicon camera ranges (Valkyrie, Vero and Viper) to create a system that meets your requirements. This modular approach enables you to expand your Markerless system as needed.

Motion capture data from the Vanguard cameras is routed through a Vicon Lock unit, and connects through a PoE (Power over Ethernet) switch to a host PC, which runs the required Vicon application software.

Important
A Vanguard system runs on its own dedicated network, rather than being integrated into a general communications network.
