Basic Vicon Markerless system topology

A basic Vicon Markerless system consists of up to 10 Vanguard cameras, Vicon IR lights with PoE++ injectors, an Ethernet switch (PoE+), a Vicon Lock, and a Vicon Markerless host PC. If you need to track props, the system must also include 6–10 current Vicon optical cameras (such as Vero cameras) as shown in the following diagram.

For details of the components of this basic system, see Vicon Markerless system components.

The Ethernet switch in a basic Vicon Markerless system provides power and data communication for the Vanguard cameras. The Vicon Lock routes the Vicon sync (Ethernet synchronization and time stamp) to all connected cameras and the Vicon IR lights. In addition, the Ethernet switch manages the data flow to the Vicon Markerless host PC. This PC runs the Vicon software that you use to process and visualize your data.
